If husband has Apple Music, will he be able to still have his same music (since he will use his own ID) or does he have to start all over? He does NOT want to lose his music.

If someone in the family group already has an individual or student subscription to Apple Music, renewal of that subscription is automatically canceled when they join the family group. Do not manually cancel his subscription first. When he joins (or starts the group) his music library will be retained. Everyone in the group gets their own music library (associated with their unique Apple ID).
