iMac return

I am returning a 27” iMac. There was no “double sided foam insert” included with the packing material. Is that correct?

Yes, I believe it is correct that there is no foam insert in the return packaging.

iMac Packaging Hi, Just got a new M1 iMac 24-inch. My computer had the white cloth-like covering plus a peel-off on the screen (front part). However, no peel-off on the back and no peel-off strip around the thin edge. I watched a few iMac unboxing videos on YouTube and saw that other people had the peel-offs on the back and edge. I'm concerned that my iMac was refurbished. I did upgrade the storage. It shipped from Shanghai, China. Has anyone else's new iMac arrived without the peel-offs on the back and side? Thank you!

iMac 27" Shipping Improvements needed in 2020 Received my iMac's, the white box they normally come in was INSIDE a brown box with foam padding. Greatly appreciate that it just looked like a parcel and had extra packing. Unfortunately can Apple please NOT tape/glue the foam to the brown box. I would have loved to reuse the foam... fail (because the glue tears the foam on removal)... now I can't even properly recycle the brown cardboard because there is foam attached. While the extra padding is appreciated, when the foam holds a box inside a box there is no need for tape or extra glue... the foam is going nowhere.

iMac trade-in What third party is now handling trade-in evaluations for Apple? I have traded in equipment in the past with Phobio and their return packing instructions were clear. I just initiated another trade-in and there are no packing instructions in the return box. The i-Mac doesn't fit. There is no padding. No instructions regarding peripheral returns. I am hesitant to make a guess as to how to pack up this equipment and have them ding my return value because of it. Has anyone else returned an iMac recently?

The link you provided shows how to pack the iMac in a return kit that has a foam insert. If Apple is now using return packaging without the foam insert then they should provide a description of how to use it.

My second trade in kit included the foam packaging.
