IOS update on my iPad Pro gets stuck in the “verifying update” mode.

Happens a lot with iPad Pros. I had it with iPad Pro 12.9″ (WiFi + Cellular) Gen2 – neither iPadOS 15.0.1 or 15.0.2 could be installed.

Workaround: insert a SIM card (even with mobile data off), works instantly. Disabling code lock is also reported as a workaround (maybe for the non cellular versions?).

Apple apparently has no quality assurance anymore...

Hi Apfelkacke, many thanks for your workaround. Was having problems with iOS 15.0.2 download. Wouldn’t download no matter how many different approaches I tried.

Your suggestion made an immediate response to the download process and am now up and running. Again many thanks
