MacBook Pro OS Big Sur 11 -Time Machine

  • After automatic backup to LaCie Mobile Drive using Time Machine and:


  • When I want to view all my backup photos on LaCie Mobile Drive it says it could not open as is on Time Machine I need to open the original library which is on my MacBook 
  • What happens if I need to backup my photos and files from LaCie Mobile Drive to MacBook Pro or a newly purchase MacBook

The most trouble free way to move to a new machine, is using the Setup Assistant on the initial boot of a brand new machine— you have one shot here. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205749


If that opportunity has past, the second best way is use the Migration Assistant.
