Face ID not available after IOS 15

I updated to IOS 15. Soon as my phone turned on it said Face ID not available. It’s a XS Max. Tried a hard reset, also updated to 15.01 didn’t help. I’m starting to think it’s a hardware issue that was caused by the update.

Hardware, probably.

X and XS face ID failures we see more than any other iphone.

Caused when you updated, yes.

Caused by the update, unlikely.
