Have you somehow enabled Voice Control? To disable that and remove the microphone icon, go to System Preferences > Accessibility. Scroll down the left pane to Voice Control and remove the check mark to disable it.
If that does not resolve your issue, do you have any other dictation or voice recognition software installed on your Mac? Do you have any meeting software such as Zoom installed? Check the status of those apps. Are any of them running in the background?
