Epson Perfection V600 Photo and OS 11.6

I've been scanning negatives with no issues (have the current updated drivers for the scanner) and just upgraded to OS 11.6 and now it won't scan negatives at all.

It has no problem with scanning regular photos, but it keeps erroring out when I try to scan negatives.

This all started with the 11.6 update. Anyone else seeing this issue?

The latest drivers, and utility software from Epson for the V600 were in July 2021. That includes v3.6.2 (7/28) version of ScanSmart Utility.

Reinstall the current Epson drivers for this device, and then re-add it in Printers & Scanners. See if that resolves the scanning issue. If not, see if Apple's Image Capture, or the trial of VueScan Professional can effectively scan your negatives. VueScan requires the Epson drivers, unlike other scanners it supports.
