Does my phone have to be with one of the supported carriers to be able to have cellular on my Apple Watch SE?

My iPhone plan is not with one of the supported carriers and I’m wondering if this will affect whether I can use Cellular or not.

You MUST have an eligible cellular service plan with a supported carrier. Your iPhone and Apple Watch MUST use the same carrier, and you must be within your carrier's network when you set up cellular on your watch. For more info, see:
