Unable to empty trash "Can't delete “[my_items]” because its pathname is too long."

I got the same problem as toysbyjacksonsox posted here before (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252484426?login=true).

I can't delete a folder in my bin that is seemingly nested infinitely.

Did anyone find a solution for this problem and can help me out?

I managed to resolve the problem by expanding all the (like 200) folders and then, after getting to the last one, by deleting each of the files separately. (As in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252853254?answerId=255381156022#255381156022)
