Apple External CD drive

my MacBook Pro has usb-c ports. I have a usb hub with a usb-c connection but the MacBook Pro doesn't read the cd drive. Any advice?

Hello. What type of USB hub are you using? It is possible that the USB hub is not providing enough power to the Apple external drive to allow it to function properly.

Thank you so much for your reply. It reminded me that I had another adapter that was hooked up to a usb microphone I use. That adapter works perfectly for my external CD drive. Very relieved.
