how do i make my iMac power chime louder?

my iMac's power chime has been quieter since i got a new one and i want to make it louder. is there a terminal command to do it?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 12.0

Other than changing Alert volume: in System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects, I doubt it.

I tried to go into my "system preferences" under "sound", when I select "built-in" the sound comes back a lot louder but only for 1 or 2 seconds, and then becomes real low again...
