Apple Watch distance accuracy

I walk at the same park everyday. But the distance measured is different everyday. It varies from 280 metres to 350 metres for the same round of the park. What can be done to get the watch to measure this distance in a more consistent way?

I just wore it while on the treadmill and the end result was 0.46 miles less on my watch than on the treadmill. Which is accurate? And how can I get the watch to match the treadmill? Apple Watch calibration Does anyone know why the Apple Watch is so far off as much as 12 feet on the exactly same route. I had a friend and we get totally different results with the exactly same settings, elevation, steps etc. someone told me the watch is just a toy and it’s accuracy is not respected by any health professional because it’s metrics are completely inaccurate most of the time.Is that true?

Apple Watch 6 does not measure distance accurately I received my new Apple Watch 6 yesterday, first time I've ever had one. I used the Workout app on a run this morning, for a distance I know to be exactly 4 miles. It's a 2 mile loop I ran twice, I've measured it with my car and MapMyRun. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the watch measured it at only 3.48 miles. Any ideas on how to fix this? Pretty disappointed for a $500 device to be that inaccurate.

Thanks fieryjack. Those features were already there. Still the performance is inconsistent
