How do I update my payment information when the edit button is grayed out on my Apple ID?

We understand that you can't edit your payment information, and we’re glad to help.
Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - We see that you came to Apple Support Communities from this article. Make sure you're trying to make this change from an updated device. If you have subscriptions, have an unpaid balance, or share purchases with your Family Sharing group, try adding the card instead of editing, then delete the other card.
If you are still unable to update your payment method, you can reach out to Apple Support directly.
