Un-installing Adobe flash player

I received a notification to uninstall my Adobe Flash player off my imac desktop it is running OSX Yosemite version 10.10. 5

Is it legitimate?

You should, Flash Player end of life : https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html

To uninstall : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
