M1 MacBook internet issue

I recently got a MacBook Air with the M1 chip and during zoom calls or uploading/downloading files it will disconnect from the WiFi and not reconnect until I turn off WiFi and wait to reconnect. My old MacBook i5 doesn’t have this issue. And all apples tech support asked me to do is to call if it happens again and it’s done it SEVERAL times and I keep getting the same “help” which is nothing! This is extremely frustrating as most of us are working from home and getting disconnected during work is becoming a loss of income. Apple please fix this issue or I’m sure many of us will be switching to windows.

Monroe3506:

While you may consider if time has not run out, to see about an exchange

or return of the M1 MacBook Air; should it be unsatisfactory within 14 days.

If purchase was through Official Apple online or Retail stores, a courtesy

is extended. While standard 'authorized' independent resellers may not

be as charitable; because they have different rules, & those can vary too.

Should you seek to contact Apple directly, do not expect actionable replies

through this discussion media. (While interaction may include Community

Specialist/Hosts, with linked advice.) One means for you to Get Support &

Apple is not here; we're just users like you. That being said I feel your pain. I have the exact same problem at times when you'd expect the internet to be very busy. From what I can tell, the entire system is overloaded and just can't handle the load at certain times. I've used three different perfectly functioning routers and two cable modems equally competent and t eh problem persists.

This may not be your problem, but I know of a lot of people having the exact same problem as mine at the exact same times.
