MacBook Pro won't let me restart computer for update.

I have an M1 MacBook Pro, serial number FV***05F, 8GB/256GB, and it says I need to update but whenever I click "restart now" for the update it just reloads the window saying there's an update available without starting the update.

What do I do?

If you are stuck, you can always force a shut down by holdong the touchID for ~6-10sec.

Try your update from a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
