Can this incompatibility be tolerated?

I can't get passed the "error 4000" on Windows 10. My iPhone is in fact installing iOS 14.7 as far as I can tell but iTunes won't update. Can this incompatibility be tolerated?

See If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. If you're trying to update using iTunes try over the air instead, or vice versa.

Note if you're getting a -4000 error when updating from iTunes you may need to remove your device passcode, update, then enable again afterwards.
