Fitness info doesn’t display

My watch turned off this morning (assuming it was due to low battery), when it turned back on all the fitness info from the day was gone. Since then no new info is displaying/counting. When I try to select the fitness app on the watch it only displays a black screen with the time on the top corner. I’ve reset the watch and phone multiple times to no avail. Any advice?

Turn off power saving mode;

To turn off power reserve mode,press and hold the side button for about 10 seconds, until you see the watch restart and the Apple logo appear.

Keep in mind that if your battery is almost completely empty, you might need to charge the watch before it will restart normally.
