It sounds like the watch face on your Apple Watch is not showing up as expected. We’d like to help.
Take a look at If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on and the sample watch screen under “See if your Apple Watch is charging”, are you seeing something similar on your watch?
Or are you seeing a red iPhone icon as shown under “Check your Apple Watch connection” in If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone? If so, your Apple Watch may be disconnected so follow the steps in that resource to connect your Apple Watch to your iPhone again.
