Undeletable bin/trash in big sur 11.5

After upgrading to big sur 11.5 I have some alias files from 6 years ago not deleting when I enpty the bin. I upgraded to 11.5.1 hoping this might solve the problem but no. What can I do to clear the bin, all the solution I have seen do not work.

Mac mini, macOS 11.5

I have been unable to enter recovery mode, there are two methods detailed but neither work for me. I have changed the startup to avoid the login window but no use. Should I do anything else such as release command r at some point and what display should I get.

I get the feeling that I am expected to have more knowledge than I do to achieve apple's instructions.

Ah over looked something, my bad and not excuse.

The Age of the Computer implies this is a Mac Mini 2014 or 2018 ?? Both would be Intel based CPU. If Intel and using a Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard - the Command + r may not function because of the Bluetooth Kernels are not loading in this mode.

Would need a USB KB and Mouse but only for this to work more reliably.

Thank you for your assistance, I have very recently installed a magic mouse, on bluetooth, switching it off and returning to the old mouse worked but I failed to find any way to access terminal or trash/bin to try and clear it. I had thought about reinstalling the OS which I can do in recovery, Is that the only option?

My machine is a mini late 2014, it is said to be compatible.

Once that is done - think of the additional knowledge and skills that have been acquired - Bravo.

Now onto the other posting - it usually better to not install uninstaller or other third party applications that may alter, modify, remove or delete anything. These Applications ,generally, do unknow things like remove Elements of the OS or worse, corrupt portions of the OS. When they do - it is very hard to put things right again short of a Reinstallation IMHO.
