Delete file bypassing recycle bin

Hi,

How can I delete a file permanently bypassing the recylce bin? This used to be simple but I can't find the option on Big Sur.

Thanks,

Is the keyboard shortcut the only way to do this now? I tend to forget keyboard shortcuts so prefer to use file>delete etc. but I don't see this anywhere anymore.

I was hoping this method would solve the proble I am having:

I have checked the file and 'locked' is unckecked and also greyed out. All options are set to 'read & write'

can you help?
