Text spam

I am receiving multiple spam texts from numerous ever changing groups of 20 people. Why is there no way to leave these groups?

Also, how do I forward the texts to 7726 to report spam?

Phishing text with fake report spam option? I have been getting spam texts everyday lately on my IPhone X. There is never an option to report the texts as spam. However, the other day I got a spam text and something appeared at the bottom saying report spam or something like that. Is it possible that this is a trick? I cannot remember exactly how it looked. Why would only one out of hundreds of obvious spam texts be reportable?
