ipad sent for Trade-in to Apple is missing

Hey guys!


We traded-in the ipad 6 Gen for the ipad Air online on the Apple Store. It says on the Apple website that the credit will be sent on Apple Store account.


However, we have been chasing Apple customer care for 2 months now but we keep getting different answers each time. They do not know whether my ipad has already been recycled without my permission or not. Also, they don't know when the money will credited.


I know this doesn't sound like Apple customer care as they are usually very helpful. Did anyone else had this experience? Any suggestions what I can do?
