your Apple Watch vibrates when iPhone unlocks it

Just to clarify, are you referring to the feature where you can Unlock your iPhone with Apple Watch when you're wearing a face mask? If so, it would be expected to feel a haptic feedback and to see an alert after your watch is unlocked. Are you trying to unlock you Apple Watch while wearing a mask?

If you're not wearing a mask and using your iPhone to Lock or unlock Apple Watch, a haptic feedback would not be expected.

Are both devices updated to the latest iOS and watchOS? If not, back up and update your Apple Watch and the paired iPhone. Refer to these resources to learn how to update the software:

There is no specification in Lock or unlock Apple Watch in regards to haptic feedback when unlocking your Apple Watch with your iPhone without a mask on. So this would be expected behavior.
