Most likely the battery was replaced with a non-Apple battery; Apple batteries have a self-contained module that monitors battery health. If you did have the battery replaced by anyone other than Apple or an Apple authorized service provider it is not possible to monitor battery health.
Based on the message, it looks like you should take it to a service provider. Has the battery been replaced?
