Has anyone else with the iphone 12 pro max had a cracked screen without even dropping their phone? I just got mine this year (2021) and the screen is now cracked. I did not drop it or bump it hard. I have an Otterbox protector on it !

Regardless, I suggest that you make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look to evaluate it. Only they can determine if it truly is a defect and provide you with your options, either way.

My 5 day old iPhone 12 Pro Max developed a crack right above the speaker. It was not dropped but Apple Store immediately and unequivocally blamed me without any thought to it being a manufacturing defect.
Hopefully your experience is more pleasant.
