Thank you. My mother kept that old TV and has been using it only to watch videos. I thought I would buy her an Apple TV unit instead of her old videos. Looking at the price of converters, and reading your answer above, I think it will be better to buy her a new TV as well. Once again, thank you so very much!
Apple TV needs to connect to HDMI, You may be able to connect to another TV with an adapter, but it will not work very well I think.

though DVI-I does not carry audio
