Hi can one of the experts advise of any special settings or prep req'd before putting my iMac back in the box and shipping it as we move house?

There are no special procedures required to move your iMac. I’d recommend you treat it as you would a television or glassware. If you’re using the original box that would be great. Just shut it down and pack it up. When you get to your new place, inbox it again, plug it in and reboot it. Easy peasy.
