Mac Calendar search not working

Mac Calendar search is not working. I've tried what a several consultations with Dr Google has suggested. (reboot, check spotlight folders, delete/reinstall, safeboot, even did a sudo mdutil -E, not really sure what that if, but hey - gave it a go) but still nothing. I've seen this question asked by others without reply and now those questions are closed without response. So here we go again...


Any ideas what to do?

If we understand correctly, you're unable to search within Calendar app on macOS Big Sur 11.4. Is that correct?


We're happy to help. Good troubleshooting steps on your own. Is your calendar local or synced to services such as iCloud, Yahoo, or another CalDAV account? See here: Calendar User Guide: Add or delete calendar accounts on Mac


If you keep calendars in internet account, have you tried removing them and re-adding them?


Have you tested by creating a calendar account further out to then attempt to search for it?
