Virus in iPhone calendar

I clicked on a link in safari by mistake and it said “your calendar has a virus”

  1. how can I check if my phone has a virus and how do I get rid of it
  2. how to secure my phone ugh any future virus attack

1: There is no virus. All the calendar messages are scams.

2: The “future attacks” can be prevented by not accepting offers from websites to “Send Notifications” or other freebies.


If running iOS 13 or earlier versions, check: Settings - Passwords & Accounts - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account. 


If running iOS 14, check: Settings - Calendar - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.
