Unlike iPhones and Watches that have glass back chassis that allow for inductive, wireless charging, as glass is an electrical insulator, iPads have sn aluminium alloy back chassis that cannot insulate/isolate against electrical charging activity, and therefore, have no way to safely conduct electricity through the back panel/chassis to be able to wirelessly, inductively charge.
