Spam texts

Hi, has anyone figured out yet how to stop from getting unwanted text messages from email addresses? I have read various posts on here but no real solutions. I can filter my texts, but not stop their notifications, which is basically worthless. I also can not block all messages from emails for some reason, when I have never once received a real message in this way. If apple can’t figure this out, I’m selling my iPhone. Back to the flip phone for me maybe? I get 5-10 of these texts a day right now

It sounds like you're getting spam messages. We're glad you've joined us in Apple Support Communities. Let's see if this helps.

Follow the steps in the section, "Report spam or junk messages" in Block, filter, and report messages on iPhone. This link has the most frequent solutions to troubleshooting when you're getting spam.

If the issue remains after following those steps, let us know if these are messages from iMessage or SMS/MMS messages.
