apple watch and straight talk

I am interested in buying an apple watch but I have read that they are not compatible with a straight talk line. Can I use a watch having an iphone through straight talk?

yes, a gps only apple watch or an apple watch not having it's eSim activated with a carrier will operate with whatever carrier the iphone is using
