I set up card sharing successfully for my wife as a participant. The surprise is she now has a different card number than mine. It might be just me but I find this counterintuitive. She hasn't used her "new card" yet but it will be interesting to find out what happens.

The Apple Card (physical) is different than the digital (Wallet App).
So other people on your account will have different account numbers.
