Which is better? Shutting down M1 Mac Mini or put to Sleep Mode?

Hi! I am new to using a mac mini. My first apple computer was a Macbook Air i thing 2015 version. I seldom shut down my macbook as what i have read on the reviews. I was wondering if a M1 Mac Mini is better if on sleep mode or on shut down mode? Thank you in advance.

I have always shut down my desktop Macs daily ever since

my first Mac, a MacPlus, and have had zero issues.

No issue using sleep but you should shut down at least every few days as it resets various parameters on restart. I myself use energy saver, schedule in preferences to shut down and start up daily.
