ipod classic & itunes

i tried to sync my ipod classic to itunes today and i am not seeing the usual screen on my mac that lets me add playlists the ipod. i can see what is on my ipod but i'm not getting the summary screen or the playlists with check boxes. i am running itunes 12.8 on an older mac running 10.3 (high sierra).

has apple changed something i didn't hear about?

never mind. i restarted the mac and things are back to normal.

Playlists won't copy over after successful sync of older iPod to new iTunes folder on new computer I successfully did a sync of my older iPod Classic to a new iTunes folder on a different computer. I have more songs in iTunes than will fit on my iPod, but about 95% of the music copied over. However, none of my playlists were copied to the iPod. Is there a trick to make the playlists show up on my iPod? I have updated iTunes to the latest version (2.0.5)
