the phone is no longer getting updates from apple so this is why it is no longer updating.
I am not sure what you mean by unable to transfer to a new phone... do you mean to a new android phone?
Because you have a 6 not a 6s, and a 6 cannot be updated further.
Actually, I have a iPhone 6s 32Gb and want to change to a "new" iphone 6s 64Gb and that one does not seem to update further than IOS 12.5.3. I can not upgrae which is required for the backup transfer to shift my app to the new phone.
Hi Thanks. That's explained it. I would like to move from my current 6s 32Gb to the "new" phone with 64Gb as the memory gets full all the time. But now I understand that it is an 6 indeed. I had difficulties in tranferring the apps and data because the "new" phone did not have the right ios version.
you should be able to use icloud to move things to your new phone.
