When I process my digital camera photos I export the best from Lightroom to my mac and then into Photos app on my Mac. Recently these photos stopped uploading automatically to icloud, so I can't get them on my phone. I can't see why, any ideas?

Thank you, turns out the automatic upload setting was turned off in preferences, problem solved! I have plenty of space (2 TB).
Do you have enough iCloud space to hold your complete library? By default you only get 5GB - this will not hold so many pictures in a library format.
Other than that, check all your settings in preferences. It should look similar to this (with the circled button greyed out)
