Frozen Imac

Tried to download Big Sur. I Mac frozen . Can’t do anything

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.14

Hold down the Power key until the Mac shuts down. Then reboot and see if the installation proceeds as it should.

Is it frozen within macOS or at an Apple logo?

i was trying to download Big Sur and after it finishes, freezes saying problem occurred. I can’t get the mouse to even work nor shut it down just repeats and freezes at the same point

Thanks. But I have done that and it tries to reboot and freezes at the same spot.
