Where can I download EtreCheck?
- There was a suggestion to run EtreCheck in order to diagnose my spinning beach ball and slow performance post installing Big Sur. I cannot find this app at the Apple store. Has it been replaced with something else? here is the original post from Feb of this year 2021:

Hi nxr1230,
I believe we need to proceed with an EtreCheck report. EtreCheck is a useful app to diagnose issues, both hardware and software. It is trusted by many users. Please follow the steps outlined below:
- Go to the Mac App Store and search for "EtreCheck."
- Download it. It is a free and trusted app; as it is on the Mac App Store, and only trusted apps can be submitted.
- Run the report, and put it in a post, as seen here - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250000211 We will then examine the report for issues in your Mac.
- If it asks for Full Disk Access, follow the prompts to enable it.
I think that you should also run Apple Diagnostics - Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support
Please post results of both!
