I can't download any of my photos.How do I update a OSX Yosemite?

I can't update from OSX Yosemite and I need at least El Capitan in order to download photos from my iphone

iMac 27″, OS X 10.10

Hello FRIARY798! To clarify, we understand that you're not able to sync your music from your iPhone to your Mac. Are you an Apple Music member? If so, you can turn on Sync Library, which will sync your music across all your devices that are signed into your Apple ID with Sync Library enabled. Learn more about that here: Join Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC
