Can't connect Iphone 7 to Itunes
Tried all the basic fixes with no luck. I have a mac book pro (2013) running MACOS Catalina

We see you're unable to connect your iPhone 7 to iTunes on macOS Catalina.
Starting with macOS Catalina and on into the current version of macOS, you would use Finder to sync your iPhone with your Mac. While the overall process is very similar, you can see how to sync via Finder in the article below:
If you're still unable to sync via Finder, let us know what what happens when you plug your iPhone in and open the Finder window. Also let us know any error or messages you may receive.
