I setup some tags in Finder previously and then decided I wanted to remove them as re-use the Tags on other folders. The Tags are still showing in Finder for files that are on my Time Machine backups.
Anyone know of a way to remove them or stop Finder from showing Tags on files in Time Machine backups.

Found a solution - turn off spotlight indexing the Time Machine drives and documents on there no longer appear when selecting a Tag.
If they were attached to those files when they were backed up, then they would show up in time machine.
But, maybe I’m not quite following the problem.
Well, if I want to search in Time Machine then I'll specifically do that. When I look at Tags i'd rather it just show me the tags excluding Time Machine. If a I look at a specific Tag in finder now it shows LOTS of files because there are lots in Time Machine backups.
Why does Finder show Tags from Time Machine backups ?
