Safari not displaying tabs correctly

After I updated to Big Sur and got the new version of Safari, I can't browse my opened tabs properly. As you can see in the screenshot, whenever I open more than ±5 tabs, the program does not arrange them in a way that I can read their header. If I open like 6 tabs, the 6th will be almost invisible. I can only browse them by previewing all tabs, through the button next to 'New Tab'.

Is it just me, or is it a general glitch? I have not found anything here. Should I reinstall it?

1. Restart your Mac.

Launch Safari holding the shift key down and test.

2 Startup in  safe mode to try to isolate the cause of the issue.

  • Select your account and login.
  • Test.

To leave Safe Mode, click Apple logo   in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.

I have another (but probably related) issue. I had installed the Search Engine DuckDuckGo and everything was working fine until I installed the updates to Big Sur. I'm currently running Mac OS 11.3.1. My issue is with the icon on the tab; in most cases it shows the icon of the related website but for The New York Times website, if I Command+Click on a link it opens in a tab with the DuckDuckGO icon. Any thoughts on why this is happening and how to fix it. Thanks.
