Problem= Mac doesn't recognize camera connected to MacBook Pro via USB-c, HDMI cable, Big Sur 11.2.3

The Problem= My MacBook Pro doesn't recognize my Canon SL3 camera connected via USB-c, HDMI cable, using Big Sur 11.2.3.


I've tried:

EOS Utility

Image Capture

iPhoto


Any suggestions?

Thanks for the response and info, I appreciate it.


I reviewed the info in the link provided and implemented the procedures, but unfortunately, after restarting my laptop and camera in various orders, checking the system report and determining that nothing is recognized in any of my ports, unplugging and replugging the cables in each port to include executing the various restart procedures for each port, checking the software and making sure everything has the latest update, ensuring no other devices are connected to the computer, however the camera, regrettably, is not recognized by my laptop.


Is there a compatibility issue between the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 camera and Big Sur 11.2.3?


It doesn't seem like it should be this complicated to connect a camera to a laptop. Is anyone else having these problems?
