Contacts color

We all use iPhones in our house, but when I try to send a message to Husband his name always come up in green. We have a chat for our family and everyone gets the message but my Husband. How can I “turn” his contact from green to blue?

I can’t send a text to my wife and her name appears in green Text won’t go to her iPad or iPhone. He name appears in green. If sending to multiple people that include her text will no go. If I try to send to multiple people including her name appears in green while everyone else is blue. Help!

One of my mums contacts only sends green bubbles When my mum sends messages to my sister it only sends via text message (green bubbles) and not blue bubbles despite both my mum and sister having iPhone devices. On my mums phone every contact she messages works normally with green bubbles but not my sister. I did read online that apparently both people have to have imessage enabled but this makes zero sense because when my mum goes out to the shops, I can message her via wifi to her phone and it comes up blue bubbles. Does anyone know what the issue could be? She also can't send any photos to my sister, it fails to send.

Green means the recipient either has an Android or has not registered their number with iMessage

Blue is for iMessage activated device.
