How to remove photos

I have already researched how to remove photos and created a new photo album specific for the Apple Watch to sync to with no photos. When I chose this album to sync to so that I can free up space for whatever mystery update it tells me I do not have enough space for, my photo count went UP from 15 to 17 photos?!? How?! I also deleted any saved watch faces with photos. I. Don’t. Understand. I don’t know where those 15 photos are and I don’t know where the now 17 photos are either. Please help!!

Unpair your Apple Watch via the Watch app on your iPhone.

Then Re-pair your Apple Watch again, this usually frees up

enough storage space to update your watch. And without any loss of data
