Apple care on new Ipad

I was trying to buy apple care for a new iPad I just got. And it won’t allow me, I just wanted to know why I can’t?

Just so you know we are all other users here and in this case we can only guess since we do not work for Apple.


Was the iPad purchased directly from Apple or an authorized reseller?
