apple tv library movies wont play

When i try to play any movie from my library that has a menu screen it wont load. I click the movie and it just shows a blank screen.

Movies without a menu screen (older movies) play just fine.

I can also play any movie on any other device.

If i use the movies menu in the atv+ app i can resume a movie just fine.

I have reset the appletv numerous times. I have force closed the atv+ app numerous times. Internet is working just fine as always. This problem seems to only be affected by playing a movie that has to load a menu screen.

Any suggestions?

Thank you to another post that suggested using the play/pause button instead of the trackpad. I can now at least watch my movies again. But any movie with a menu screen no longer has access to extras and features since the play/pause button bypasses the menu screen. There is still something broken somewhere with the movies.
