how do I update to Mojave 10.14?

I'm trying to update from High Sierra 10.13 to Mojave 10.14 but my MacBook is refusing to update. why?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

You must be getting some Combo Update, but never heard of 16 anything!?

Try installing this in Safe Mode, but not downloading using Firefox...

You need a 2012 or later Mac.

If you do, Open in Safari: macOS Mojave 10.14

otherwise you can't.

I did that and it took me to 10.16. It doesn't go to the older version. Is there a link to the 10.14 that doesn't automatically go to 10.16. You can't install 16 without first having 14. My computer is from 2018, so it is new enough.
